Use of funds
Donations are applied to the charitable purposes described on this site. PatientAid does not guarantee that a gift will be applied to a named individual. Where a donor expresses a preference, the board will honour it where doing so is consistent with the organisation’s purposes and with the partner’s clinical judgement; otherwise the gift is applied to the general programme.
Privacy
We collect only what a donation or an enquiry requires: name, email address, and the details a payment processor needs to take a payment. We do not sell, rent or trade donor information. We do not solicit, receive or hold patient medical records. Payment card details are handled by the payment processor and never reach us.
Card and bank payments are taken on a page hosted by our payment processor, and that page requires a billing address. PatientAid International Inc. records the address you give there — street, city, state or region, postal code and country — against your donation and holds it itself, not only the processor.
Donation records are kept for seven years from the date of the gift, together with the name, email address and billing address attached to each one. The backups that contain them are kept for no longer than that same period.
